Ruben Moldovan

Ruben was born into a Christian family in the northern region of Romania called Moldova and was raised with biblical values. He has loved sports from a young age, especially soccer, which he played throughout his youth. While studying physical therapy at the National University of Physical Education and Sport in Bucharest, he began volunteering with the Josiah Venture (JV) Edge Sports team in Medgidia (Dobrogea region) and got involved in the local church’s youth ministry.

Sensing God’s call to full-time ministry, Ruben joined JV Edge Sports as a staff member, serving for several years in Medgidia as a coach, mentor, and friend to the local youth.

In October 2023, he and his wife Sara—who is originally from the Iași area—moved to Iași, where Ruben now leads the local Edge team. He continues to serve full-time with JV and is actively involved in their local church, helping with both the worship and youth ministries. Sara is currently a student but also serves in the church, especially in media and communications, while supporting Ruben as he serves in the EdgeE ministry.

Together with Sara, Ruben desires to see the Edge ministry grow in the Moldova region and to invest in young people through sports, discipleship, and strong partnerships with local churches. While Ruben serves full-time with JV, they both seek to live missionally and be a godly influence in their community.
