Barbora Drábková

Baru was born in Ostrava and still lives there today.. She comes from a non-believing family, so she had to find her way to God on her own. Baru attended a language high school in Ostrava, where she first met the Christian organization YoungLife. After the first year in this organization, she made friends with people from a local church and started regularly attending CB Trojka Ostrava, which she is still a part of today. After high school, she entered the University of Ostrava, where she studied philosophy. While studying at the university, she also worked part-time at YoungLife, where she was primarily involved in the preparation of summer camps and developing relationships with the students involved.

In 2022, she felt called to make a change. Her calling had shifted from serving students to serving leaders. Shortly after that, she received an offer from KAM (Josiah Venture’s partner organization in the Czech Repiublic) and started as an admin for the Camps team. Thanks to her experience from Younglife, and her time of service in CB Trojka, she is equipped to participate not only in the administration connected with Czech camps, but also to be a creative part of the team.
