Spencer Tuominen

Spencer first served with Josiah Venture (JV) in 2022 as part of a short-term team at a Fusion and English camp in the Czech Republic. That experience opened his eyes to the bold faith of Czech believers and the mission of Josiah Venture—to equip young leaders to fulfill Christ’s commission through the local church. It deeply impacted his heart for missions and sparked a desire to explore long-term ministry.

While working as a software engineer, Spencer began praying about leaving his career to serve abroad. In reconnecting with Josiah Venture, he realized his technical skills could directly support the spread of the gospel across Central and Eastern Europe.

Since moving in the Fall of 2023, Spencer now lives in Havířov, Czech Republic. He primarily manages JV’s software projects, using his experience to build tools that serve, encourage, and empower the movement of God across the countries where Josiah Venture serves. Additionally, he serves part-time mentoring and supporting young leaders in his local church and region, helping them grow in faith and leadership.

Spencer is passionate about combining his professional skills with his heart for ministry, investing in the next generation and helping them step into their calling in Christ.
